Dear Friends & Clients,

I wanted to touch base with you and address some of your concerns regarding the current market and how it is affecting your family, business, and/or retirement situation.  First, our team wants you to know that we empathize with you, we understand your concerns, and we care about your financial and health well-being.

Second, we are already seeing changes in behavior: travel, schools, sporting events, shopping centers, restaurants, corporate conferences as well as the rapid growth of telecommuting and virtual meetings.  We can see that our consumer/services-oriented economy will take a hit.

While we are not experts in virology, we have read and listened to those that are and they are saying we have a lot to learn about this virus, but panic has been extended too far. This is our first ‘social media virus.’ The internet is feeding a steady stream of negative news about the virus to the entire world, keeping it at the forefront of our minds. We believe this is escalating the current fear and that overtime, as we learn more about the virus and test more patients, the panic will subside. The market has priced in serious impact to company earnings and we have yet to find evidence that this negative outlook will come to fruition.  The market, besides industries like leisure (i.e. cruise ships), will not be lost and we see a strong recovery coming in the second half of 2020.  Of course, we are always reviewing the economic data and how it will affect our clients, their businesses, and families.

Third, neither get in nor get out are investment strategies.  They represent gambling in moments of uncertainty; investing should always be a process done over time.  Panic is not an investment strategy.  We focus on what we can control and our process as it is futile to make predictions about the market with any semblance of accuracy.

That is why we are here to help you and answer your questions.   Our team has a Wealth Management Process to help business owners and individuals put their financial puzzle together.  It’s a dynamic process that adapts as your life unfolds and your needs evolve.  This creates clarity and confidence with your business and family’s financial future and success.   Right now, is the perfect time to review your goals, cash needs, risk tolerance, and if your current investment approach is aligned with your goals and risk.

Our Wealth Management Process understands what are your personal financial goals?  Most likely, each of your goals have different time horizons.  We will design the best investment strategies to meet each of your goals.  How much risk is necessary in your portfolio to meet your stated goals? How much risk are you willing to take? What does this mean in terms of dollars?  What are your cash flow needs? How much cash are you earning from predictable cash flow or your investments? From your Social Security, Pensions, Annuities, Real Estate, or Business? How does this compare to your discretionary versus non-discretionary expenses?

Please feel free to reach out to us to help provide this service to you, your family, friends, or other business partners that might be having these concerns or need advice.  We only have control of one thing — our own actions.  Our team is armed with a time-tested process, information, experience, patience, humility and a sense of humor. “See you on the other side.”

Best Regards,
Jeff Wetta
